Immigration Thread

Are you happy with Ireland's immigration policy ?
No. We are overly reliant on private businesses to provide (generally substandard) accommodation.

We should have a much more streamlined and faster path from arrival to decision. If asylum is not granted then deportation should be immediate. If you are going to keep someone stuck in an asylum system here for years and allow them to make a life/have kids/etc here then it becomes much harder and less ethical to deport them.

These are issues that need to be worked on by the government.

Marching with a known racist and grifter does nothing to further that though. Nor does demonising asylum seekers. This "unvetted males" horseshit that Blighe etc go on with. As if they weren't unvetted males themselves.

Majority of people marching have not the same mindset as Blighe
