Immigration Thread

Did you actually read the article? It doesn't even remotely do that. It recounts what happened. She refused to answer a question from a Gript "journalist", and she received death threats after Conrad McTapcaine made a song and dance about it on Twitter.

It's a terrible reflection on Gript's readership - with the death threats, and to a lesser extent, your post.
The spin is obvious in the headline and you then go onto say that what Ms Coppinger has been through is a "terrible reflection on Gript's readership". It is not the fault of Gript, its editors or its readership but rather of whoever made those threats.

More likely decades rather than years.
Wonder what made him come out with such a strong statement. It's as if electorate opinion has swung wildly against uncontrolled immigration and the effects on housing and services and he's forced to act. The left there up in arms.

He also said there could be further restrictions saying, "if we do need to do more to release pressure on housing and public services, then mark my words we will".

1) What in the headline consistutes spin? Where are the loaded statements and emotive words? What would you change in it to make it a less baised description of what happened?

2) What I said and what's said in the article are not the same thing. The article reported the details, I gave my opinion on it.

3) Noone said it's Gript's fault.
