I recall her being an absolute fucking weirdo.

That case was a real moment in time, absolutely everyone was following it and it was being played out in front of our eyes through the media.

They must have been fairly sure that Huntley was guilty and had the media all over him to put him under a false sense of security.

I can't think of many murder cases in my lifetime that were so high profile. Ian Huntley and Maxine Carr became household names.

As did Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman

I think what was done to that poor young fella was so beyond belief that society struggled to cobble any kind of explanation together

Robert Thompson and Jon Venables. Thompson has steered clear of trouble since his release, Venables has broken his licence twice for possession of child porn and is currently locked up.
