Still a few holes in Bailey's story to say he's totally innocent as far as I'm concerned. Lied about leaving the house during the night and the turkey scratches sounds like a very tall tale.

He very well might have done it but no DNA and even the logistics of him getting to her house and home again that night by foot seems semi impossible.
The DNA from the gate (now disposed of) was confirmed as not being either Sophie’s or his.
As the investigation was being carried out a character was put forward saying she saw Bailey at the scene. She later withdrew that statement saying she made it under pressure of others.
Despite all the resources put into the case, the DPP didn’t even see fit to bring Bailey to court twice deciding no prosecution.
The garda investigation has been widely criticized for focusing on Bailey and not investigating all possible perpetrators.

I remember questioning on here that I read or heard it was a known member of AGS and was promptly shut up being told that there was 'possibly his family members on here'.
However, no names mentioned so clearly it touched a nerve !
