How far removed are you from the land

As my fellow Meathman said, just because I was born in a stable doesn't mean I'm a horse.
There's a fine memorial to him in Trim, erected by the greatful citizens of the county.
Similar to Nelson's pillar, smaller. Surprised it survived, but TBF we're awful civilized in the royal county.
All the Brit trappings aside, this dub-born rural mixture reminds me of the old joke with more than a grain of truth in it
Q: What’s the definition of a Culchie
A: A dublinman’s father

Weesst Cork,

Until Coppinger took it by default
On the mother's side came a surname she never mentioned before. Her mother's maiden name.
Got contacted by them on my heritage.

A Burton from County Limerick,
Whose lands were quite large and historic.
With a castle and estate,
He sealed his own fate,
As a man of great charm and mystic.

* The last line I'll settle for.

Colonial self hatred in the flesh.

What do you mean it didnt have to be that way?
Do you have any understanding of the way Ireland was at that time and that was when it was under British control? They were the ones who happily surrender control of the schools and hospitals to the church.
I think things played out exactly as you would expect them to play out in a post colonial Ireland. A real leader like Collins? The fella who used to wrestle other leaders and bite off pieces of their ears? The guy who was riding a British spy during the negotiations?
The guy who used British weapons on his own people and who gave up the 6 counties?
:lol!:

More importantly that is history and now we are one of the most desirable places to live in Europe. Give it a fucking rest John Smith.
Lol, oh look, we have a cultist in our midst 😂 Why dontcha fuck off back to your cultist cousins in Norn Iron ?

Ironically it was entirely the responsibility of the traitors against the Free State to wear the big boy pants when they walked into government in 1932 to bring the country on but instead we suffered decades of Economic Protectionism and a continual drain of emigration, because of economic illiteracy. That's not on the Brits.

As for Collins, he did the Republic a great service in offloading those nordie cretins.

I have about 30 acres at home, that I let out to a local farmer for hay/silage/grain. To be honest, I rarely "connect" myself with the land although I did go for a few walks over summer on the land, and it honestly felt spiritual to walk the land that generations of my family farmed for over 100 years.

The cultist who hates SF is it?
Ask Soundy what I think of him and his disgusting party.
However I despise West Brit self haters like you just as much m8.

Two groups living in the past and equally pathetic.
You're a complete historical ignoramus as well and clearly raised in a FG household considering the shite you came up with above.
Ireland until 1932 was doing well and free of the church and catholic conservativisim etc were they?
God save the King m8.

:lol!:
