Fair point. All we saw was:
The white walkers
Ned executing a deserter
The kids getting direwolves
Jon Arryn dying
The court going north
Jaime and Cersei fucking
Bran being thrown out a window
Sansa and Joffrey betrothed
Ned becoming Hand
Dany getting hitched to Khal Drogo.

As you say, not a lot.

Its all exposition in the first episode. Here is so and so, this is his deal.

Did we care about John Aryn or the nights watch guy dying?

No. We had zero idea who their characters were.

You need series long arcs to get invested. Then it shocks you when they die ( if you havn't read the books)

I'm enjoying HOD , all to Doctor Who chewing the scenery.

Show is picking up momentum now! The most recent episode was really good.

It's kind of boring. Episodes are too long imo. I like a 40 to 50 minute episode of TV. They also seemed to have introduced a pantomime villian with that new guy. Your man who burnt his father alive (and his brother?) so your one's old man would be Hand of the King again.

He sounds like that Paddington Bear dude.

Also that ser Cristian fella seems like another evil twat. Doing your one's evil bidding.

Bunch of fuckers the low of them actually. Who's a decent character in that show? And I'm talking Game of Thrones as well. Pack of langers the lot of em.

A lot happened though, yeah? We also met Tyrion.

The window wanker is David Tennant's son.
You'd have thought his Dad would have advised him on taking the part and his portrayal of it because he ain't no Joffrey.

You'd also have thought Daemon could have foreseen what has transpired.............he's not that dense....
