Wow, that's so true, people will normalise conditions when they don't have another choice. I wore glasses since 8, when a teacher noticed I was short-sighted and later on because of the astigmatism, I could only get the expensive contact lenses if I wanted to go down that road. It was only a few years ago I developed cataracts in both eyes, at different times, I got the lenses in my eyes replaced, so that I no longer need glassesThe old fella had macular degeneration and used to wear ordinary sunglasses when out.
Used to watch matches on TV by turning his face away from the screen so he could get a side view of it.
Amazing how people adapt and learn to cope with disabilities like that in their later lives.
