Holidays.

New York was pretty amazing, tbf. Flights to and from Heathrow were packed to the gills. We were lucky to get an upgrade to Business on the way over, through a friend who's been in BA for 30 years now! I couldn't resist a few Johnny Gingers, a whiskey cocktail. No hassle at immigration, through in a few minutes. Brooklyn was bopping, walked across the Brooklyn Bridge right before they closed it early July 4th. Ferry back that afternoon. NYPD fooking everywhere that day, closing roads to pedestrians and cars alike. All in all, a great reminder of the buzz of the place. Enjoyed the Frick Collection, a first, as well as the Highline, ditto. Lasted two mins in 125th Street, that was one minute walking from Subway and one walking back to it. Miserable scene up there, most out of their heads on some shit, about 11 o clock in the morning! Didn't see one Maga cap wearer - I know it's NY - not even on the evening of the 4th. Just a few in stars and stripes gear. Tipping culture continues unabated. 20% is now minimum. Had to change the machine suggestion of 25% a couple of times. Admittedly their service industry is fantastic, but jeez, pay the poor bastards a bit more!

NYC is an absolute kip IMO. Rats running around everywhere, and if they could charge you for oxygen they would
