Great city alright but the hills are a killer. However, at night a taxi back up to our hotel was only €4.50 for 4 people. Great food and drink at reasonable prices.

We broke up the walk with a pit stop half way up every night price of a pint went from 350e to 550e depending on how posh the place was but eating out was very cheap in comparison to home prices. Done a lovely cruise up the river which was beautiful tbh and got us a bit of air as the city was roasting with the temp going between 32 and 40 degrees every day.

40 is unusually hot for Oporto considering it's on the Atlantic coast.

I'm going to Vienna on Friday for the best part of two weeks. I was there quite recently so I'm not really looking forward to it yet, but I'm sure once I get there I'll be happy out

i supposed you'd say it meant nothing to you?

going to denmark ourselves this year. italy / spain / france / greece etc are out of the question now during the summer with the heatwaves. the spaniards may get their wish for fewer tourists after all.

All the pharmacies we passed on thur were showing 40. Fri and Sat dropped down to 34/36..
