Ah stop, we’re not getting anything out of either of these two games. Hopefully we won’t finish bottom.

We would be better off not qualifying for anything until we have some sort of functioning team. We would get hockeyed like in 2012. Worst performance ever in a euros group I think. We need to revert to being international peak Stoke City.

And I know we are a bit of a pity but we have seen the team can raise themselves for bigger games. It’s the bread and butter games we struggle with. I still wouldn’t wish we don’t qualify for a World Cup or even a play off. The country could do with something to bring a bit of life to the nation, even if it ended in disappointment.

As well as footballing skills and first touches we could really do with a bit more pride of the parish. Coleman showed glimpses of it tonight and got the team and crowd riled up for a bit and then he got the curly finger.

Cork lads did well tonight in fairness. Idah very close twice. Ogbene was decent, Jake was solid enough and Kelleher his usual self.

I wasn’t the one saying we’d be better off not qualifying. We are too bad to get those kind of results out of those two teams.

Armenia could conceivably get a draw home v Hungary, meaning we would "just" need to beat Hungary in the last game to get second place, I think. Both unlikely outcomes but you never know.

More likely is we lose to Portugal at home, HUNGARY beat Armenia and we don't even get to bring qualification hopes to the last game

Good reasoning by Heimir in the TOD interview outlining reason for taking Coleman off. He was already on a yellow and they were worried about another yellow after Armenia went down to 10 men - ref would try to even it up.
