If I know I wouldn’t have asked as I’m not in the habit of wasting peoples time, GreenyOh you know right well, thready.
Spot on Lur, UEFA are the issue here but unfortunately that doesn’t matter to the handwringing virtual signallers here that probably don’t even go to Ireland matches anyway.I'm guessing you've read what Hallgrimsson said on thie issue.
“I don’t see the difference in FIFA and UEFA banning Russia and not Israel"
“I don’t see the difference, but I am not speaking on behalf of the FAI or anyone. I just don’t see the difference.”
“But it's not my decision if you play or not against them or what decision is taken on a higher level"
“I am the head coach. I need to focus on the football thing. I hope when we play them, the supporters will support Ireland and support us to do good when we play against them.”
I agree with him.
If people want to protest, the protest should be at the door of UEFA. It shouldn't come down to Irish players having to make a call on playing or not themselves which could happen.
Some players may decide they don't want to play but there should not be a mob mentality amongst the public if some players decide to play and some don't. Lay out a protest to UEFA in good time and leave it at thatSpot on Lur, UEFA are the issue here but unfortunately that doesn’t matter to the handwringing virtual signallers here that probably don’t even go to Ireland matches anyway.
