One of the stranger matches I’ve watched. Italy could have been three up with Norway hardly getting a kick first half.

Italy needed to win 4-0 to qualify in first which probably explains their collapse once the game went to 1-1 but they are fairly average in general and not a team we should fear if we get them at some stage.

I think the potential opponents in the semi final stage would be harder as they’d be all a bit more battle hardened.

cullen has been one of our best performers over the past two games. He is going nowhere.

He’s grand. He was going forward with the ball from midfield in the move that eventually ended in their getting their second. I’d expect a decent midfielder to present a threat of a through ball from where he’d gotten himself into, it was the thing to do and he went wide to Jake O’ Brien I think who put the ball out of play with a misplaced pass. From where Cullen was the only ball was a through ball but he obviously didn’t trust himself. The foul he got the yellow card for was also unnecessary. Fairly ordinary player. I’d be hoping a few lads from the U21s move on fast like Devanney and Moorhouse. A minder for Azaz and he could play there.

There a lot to be said for it, when you have a huge height advantage over nearly every other team with the likes of scales, O’Brien, O’Shea etc why the fuck would you not get good ball into the box? Last 4/5 years absolutely waisted with this team and out of his depth manager supported by a gutless football media pretending we were Spain and tipping the ball around going no where.
There is nothing wrong from going back to front quickly and long…..this team playing that way will be hard to beat

Exactly they was a certain train of thought that we were suddenly going to play like a Guardiola team and if we didn’t we shouldn’t be playing at all..Fecking horrendous watching us play under Kenny thinking we were Brazil and getting hosed..The fact of the matter is we have a team with a few playing in the Premiership with teams at the wrong end of the table, championship, few Celtic lads..We have to play to our strengths and hoof the shagging ball into the box it is…
