Had it-no symptoms-would not know that I had it but for a test that I had to do. Was vaccinated so obviously the vaccine did its job!

I presume you are winding us up with the 'obviously'. Tons of people had it or at least had positive tests for it with no vaccine and no symptoms, only finding out when they had to do a test.

Now the vax may have helped with symptoms sure who knows, but it was the most micky mouse vaccine of all times I wouldn't be horsing credit on to it because you weren't sick. You aren't still taking boosters are you?

Vaccines give you a light version of a virus to build up antibodies. A vaccine reduces the symptoms of the real McCoy, it doesn’t prevent you getting it. That’s my limited understanding anyway

That is the gist of it but modern vaccines do not use "a light version of the virus" to stimulate the immune system to produce specific antibodies "in this case covid specific antibodies" Science can now identify the portion of the virus that stimulates this antibody production. With PCR multiplication methods they can now produce and develop huge amounts of new vaccine very rapidly. This whole new and exciting vaccine development has confused the Anti Vaxxers who cannot accept that this is possible. Indeed this breakthrough saved millions of lives in the recent Covid emergence! In previous outbreaks it would have taken years to develop a new vaccine

COVID-19 and the flu are caused by different viruses. COVID-19 is caused by a coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2, while flu is caused by influenza A and B viruses. Different causes but many similiar symptoms and of course both viruses can be concurrent!
