I'm fascinated by their sampling and statistical methods.
I've never been surveyed by them but herself got a letter last month asking her to track her spending for 14 days, and in return she'd get a "gift voucher". She fucked the letter in the bin. Yer man and his lanyard called back a week later to follow up on it, I just had to tell him to go away.
You wouldn't mind answering a few questions at the door, but a 14 day spending journal ffs.
In the bar I used work in we used frequently get CSO letters about our obligation to participate in their retail sales survey, and they were always turfed in the waste paper basket too.
I just don't see how anything they produce can be accurate if they're relying on statistical projections rather than a decent sample of responses.
Anyone got anything to contribute?
