The company is currently in discussions with Cork City Council, Cork County Council and the Port of Cork in developing the zero-emissions initiative.

Will people want to get a ferry from cork to cobh when there's a train already?

Its a great idea but there's a speed limit in the inner harbor. I think its around 5 or 6 knots which is a little bit over 5 or 6 mph.

How long would it take to get to Little island from the city at that speed?

Could clean up with tourists though. The Yanks would love sailing from Cork to Cobh or over to Aghada.

Its definitely a no brainer for tourist coin alright.

I dont think it would replace too many commutes going down the diver at a running pace in a headwind.
