Grandaddy pack it in

Grandaddy Reform

Brilliant pastoral futurists Grandaddy have got back together for a few live dates this year, the Quietus is pleased to report. The band, who reissued The Sophtware Slump last year (our review here), will make End of the Road their only festival call of 2012, though we understand there will be other live dates.

Also newly confirmed for End Of The Road, which takes place from 31 August to 2 September at Larmer Tree Gardens in Dorset, are Alabama Shakes, The Deep Dark Woods, Dirty Beaches, Eagle and the Worm, Grandaddy, Porcelain Raft and Willis Earl Beal.

Caught them in Dublin on The Software Slump tour and In Henry's supporting Super Furry Animals I think? They were really good live and produced some very good albums. Jason lytle solo stuff was kind of a Grandaddy light.
