Gas bottle of Butane for return/disposal

I’ve got a quarter empty standard gas bottle of butane (from an old bbq setup). Anybody know where I can return the bottle with gas still in it for the extra few bob.

If you don't want it anymore why not give it to someone as a good deed?

If you want to get a partial refund you can bring it to the main depot and they will weigh the bottle.
This will be compared with the weight of a full bottle and a calculation made for a partial refund.
Calor had a place in Midleton who used to do this. I'm not sure if there are still there. I think you might have to go to the refinery in Whitegate.

I've see discussion somewhere over the last week where someone brought an empty gas bottle to a number of places that sell refills, and they wouldn't take the bottle back to give him a refund. If you find somewhere, can you let us know here ?
