In town tonight - McCurtain Street and Parnell Place and absolutely delighted to report I’ve seen Gardai out on the beat - think I’ve seen seven different pairs of them in the last six hours. It’s brilliant.

Saw a pair of them around the bus station a few days this week, Their presence alone makes people feel at ease,

Saw some report recently that traders inside in town are delighted, footfall and business is up and the vibe is hugely improved.

It won't be long now before a video goes viral of a Garda joining a xmas sing song on oliver plunkett St and a reveller wearing his garda hat, A few here will be fuming,

Delighted on my walk to work this morning to come across four different Gardai individually patrolling the streets. It just gives one a lift when you see them out on the beat walking around. Might have been too early for the scobes but I didn't encounter one of them - surely more than just coincidence with the now very visible Garda presence. Long may it last.

Nope it's a new long term policing plan for the City not seasonal

It would be worth writing to councillors, TDs and the Gardai to tell them much this means it's absolutely brilliant but I'd say a shit gig for the Gardai themselves
