Gardai

you are some fucking dose.

The wan last night was wearing Jeans, a coat and a wooly hat. she went up summer hill north on a green man so the garda.had a word with her. I'd say she was going about 3 mph. I would argue what she did was safe and helps traffic and motorists but the garda didn't. personnelly i would have preferred if the garda kept the bikes off the paths further up. Had all the cars parked on the path and in the bus stop towed or stopped the young fella giving his friend a spin on his e scooter but its a start.

What is your thing with Lycra? do you have issues with people wearing sport appropriate clothing. Would you rather fellas wore wooly jumpers and jeans to play a game of football?

Either way cyclists thread 👉
Quality post.

I’m a hell of a lot slimmer than many of the blimps that wear Lycra on our roads.

Nothing per se against Lycra, I admire some women that wear it well 😎, it’s just the mamils and their air of entitlement thinking everyone else should accommodate them on our roads, even when they’re clearly wrong - like your hero the utter clown who didn’t yield at the sign and then berated the bus driver 😎

You are a broken mind, all you see are people trying to break the law and cause issue when the vast majority of the world is just getting by with their day and causing no issue whatsoever for anyone regardless of what you observe.

The vast majority of cyclists dont wear lycra as they are casual cyclists, however I see the cyclists in Lycra regularly. The ones in lycra on their way to work tend to be on serious bikes and clearly fit so using the commute to stay out of the car and keep fit so prob covering decent distances, hence requiring something that allows for this. You will no doubt think every saddle should be a leather Brooks sprung type and a good pair of yellow oil skins would keep the rain off and motorists warned, so will have no understanding for this

When Im out at the weekend you get a mix of lads in lycra. The same type of lads you'd see during the week are out on extended runs now and wearing lycra for good reason. You get a bigger cohort of the overweight lads, and they tend to be perched on bikes worth twice again what the serious fella is on. These are the MD's out on the 15k full carbon pro bike bought on the bike to work scheme to save €1,500, and the POG replica gear with zero shame. You will probably pass them a few times if you are training on a loop while they sit outside the cafes but in the end what harm are they doing?

Why waste your time. There is no talking to ignoramus motorists who believe they don't have to share the roads. It is because of angry clowns like him that we need cycle lanes to protect cyclists
