Are any of ye following the story of the irish fella who did a 30eu each way double last april, Both horses won at huge prices,
300K Due to him, ladbrokes wont pay,
Why would he put a bet like that on knowing the max payout? Surely he'd have spread his bets?I must have missed it last month, but I see this has been paid out...up to the €100k cap

Bad week for Ladbrokes as punter waits over a year for bet to be paid
A Social Media storm last week culminated in Ladbrokes coughing up €100,000 to stable lad Dylan Phelan on a bet he had placed in one of the bookmaker’s Irish shops over twelve months earlier.www.irishracing.com

Fair play to him but that's mug behaviour. Was probably either unaware or didn't realistically expect both of them to place?

It's only when you win, you see the lack of integrity and honour amongst bookies. They will do anything not to pay out on big bets. PP one of the most despicable on that score. It is a bit. I'm guessing the prices available with Ladbrokes were attractive enough, relative to the rest, that he was a bit blinded to how much money he'd leave on the table given a black swan event of both horses coming in as winners.
Yep, add in the fact of it being a Byrnes horse which drifted wildly in the betting pre-race, and you have a wicked cocktail of integrity question marks.Check out the jockey throwing himself off redwood queen at Wexford today, ffs
