GAA Stadium Facilities

Portaloos aren't women's toilets. Again, you know this.

The idea that women and children should just stay at home, rather than that the stadium should provide decent facilities is just silly.
I'm sure the toilets whilst obviously not plush are adequate, it is the number if people using them all in a short space of time that turn them in to shit holes, use them when cork play Clare in a football match and I'm sure you'd have far less issues.

a theory.

the gaa don’t have a proper season/league like other sports do. fifteen odd matches at home and fifteen away. depending on your county you’ll have maybe three league matches amd two championship at home in a year.

why would they invest in decent facilities with so few matches to cater for. other countries and other sports leagues go on for six or more months in a year so therefore need decent facilities to cater for crowds over à longer period of time.

I dont agree that a few portaloos for the entire female contingent at a match is adequate.

But then I'd have to watch football...

No idea, but there you go again, telling what I'm supposed to think or claiming you know what I think.
Sure, Jan.
She didn't, why would I say she hadn't if she did. I don't owe Cusack Park anything and I certainly don't make up stories, I will leave that to you.
Again, sure Jan.
Indeed.

Of course it isn't. As for looking for a row, remind me again who replied to my first post here today.
Anyways I've better things to do this evening than to pander to some arrogant storytellers need to be always right and have the last word.
Ah, the old " last word" argument. One of your perennial ones...

county grounds would be hosting most/all county finals too. Between hurling and football that could be another 6 or 8 games, maybe throw in the camogie and ladies football too in some counties.

really no excuse for not having permanent facilities in good conditions

Thats probably it to a degree. did cork really need a 44k stadium. how many times a year is it more than half full.

44k would make plenty of sense as a provincial ground but it's a county ground don't need semple, Fitzgerald's stadium, the gaelic grounds and the pairc all to be that size. Maybe 2 of them at a stretch.

But I suppose that ship has sailed

What utter crap, the gaa have the most logical clearly outlined season, before the year even begins every county knows exactly where and when their league and interprovincial championships will be ffs.
The gaa don’t respect the paying spectator that is the issue, it is an institutional mindset that nothing matters once the punter pays, there is zero excuse for not having adequate toilet facilities, no excuse for no baby changing facilities, they know exactly how many spectators are at each game and can easily estimate demand as it’s all ticket/online
