Pat and Dick hit the nail on the head here. Aside from Croker and the Pairc the standard of facilities in our grounds are a disgrace.

I include popular places like Thurles in that. We see a lot more young women and girls going to matches now and they have totally unacceptable toilet facilities available to them.

And all the while the price of tickets has increased significantly.

Not wrong....even down the Pairc the hot food options could be way better. Nobody is expecting gourmet food but O Flynns sausages or some outfit like that would do a much better job than what's in there at the moment.

They're charging top dollar for very cheap poor quality food.

Believe it or not the choice in the Premium section is actually worse. Brooks Foods have the contract and you can either get a €20 canteen food carvery or an €8 burger.

For Razzmatazz and general entertainment the GAA is lightyears behind.

Outside of the fact that the games are popular and generally pretty exciting it's a barran enough experience.

Bad sound systems

No MC

No pyrotechnics (this matters a pile to kids)

Shitty uninteresting programmes

Bad jacks

Bad marshalling.

League of Ireland, Basketball Ireland, URC all do a better job of promoting their games as entertainment products.

And stop playing the fucking rose of Tralee down the Pairc that should never ever be allowed happen again

I'm no coffee snob but a cup of instant coffee for €4 or whatever in the páirc is laughable. I'm not expecting some fella to spend 2 minutes making a latte putting the fancy swirls on top but there's surely something better than that crap. Do it like the hotels do with the big pressed pot.

Completely disagree, it is all the razzmatazz that is killing sports events and it is self fulfilling.

If a large cohort of people go to a game for the entertainment, the worse the atmosphere, the greater need to jazz things up, the more non supporters attend, the worse the atmosphere becomes, the more the need to jazz it up etc etc
