GAA player gets suspended sentence for on-field assault

A Gaelic footballer from Co Donegal has been given a three-month suspended sentence after attacking an opponent during a match almost six years ago.

If it's with the cops a big ban will be the least of his worries. He'll get a stretch for that.

Will be interesting how this will plays out especially if garda are involved, plenty scuffles and fights have happened in matches up and down the country but to attack a guy with a broken hurl and stab him with it is despicable behaviour.
