Future Cork Hurlers

Some rubbish being spouted on here.
If Robbie Flynn gets an injury free run at things in the league next year he walks onto the team for championship. And we better hope he does because he'll be needed if Cork are to win an All Ireland.

Also if the Cork management picked 50 new players to come in training next year Shane O'Regan still wouldn't be called. A few scores in a handy game that Sars ran up a cricket score and lads here are after finding the successor to Pa O'Callaghan

If O'Callaghan is already a Cork player then so is Cormac O'Brien, Cathal McCarthy, Micheal Mullins and Eoin Carey as they got game time in the league and were on the extended panel and named on the AI programme although they were practically all injured. However the thread is about future Cork players and Mullins is the only player I see playing championship and Cathal Mac is the only other player I'd hold on to for next year if back from injury and showing any decent form.

I stated if Shane O'Regan is as consistent throughout the club championship as he was in the 1st round and league final then he should be looked at by management. I wouldn't dare dream 'he is the missing piece of the jigsaw' but I do think as I stated earlier at least 6 to 9 changes to the squad are required and 2/3 to the team if Cork are to succeed.

That's a good Clare U-23 team. Likely if they met Cork they'd win by a point with the ref giving ye a leg up again and making all the difference.?

Here is my Cork team:

Brion Saunderson
Shane Kingston Eoin Downey Cathal Mac
Micheal Mullins Ciaran Joyce Bn. O'Sullivan
Ethan Twomey Darragh O'Sullivan
Diarmuid Healy Wm. Buckley B. Cunningham
Padraig Power Brian Hayes Robbie Cotter

Subs: Paudie O'Sullivan, Cormac O'Brien, Cillian Tobin, Kevin Moynihan, Cillian O'Donovan, Sam Quirke, Brian Keating, Darragh Flynn, Daniel Hogan, Hugh O'Connor, Jack Leahy, Sean Desmond, Jack Cahalane.

That 'If' is completely hypothetical and highly unlikely as much as is Cork.winning the All-Ireland.

Shane O'Regan is never as good as Pa, after all Pa is from Ballyhea and he's a brother in law to Darragh Fitzgibbon who lives in Ballyhea. Most of North Cork believe it's the Home of Hurling!?

But they are all Cork players. A Cork player is someone who has played for Cork, they have played for Cork.
Whether they are good enough to have played for Cork is debatable, which of them have have something to offer going forward is also debatable.

I agree that there is big changes needed to the panel. I don't think we will see 6-9 changes, I think around 4 changes will be made, it will also be interesting to see does anyone manage to break into the first 15.

If O Regan has an outstanding club championship I still don't think management will go near him.

Fellas making up and naming u23 teams now.
The plot has officially been lost.

It’s Future Cork Hurlers not a potential Mickey Mouse age group.
