Independent Ireland will smash FF/FG rural vote, they might not be the answer but they will get a big rural protest vote..The parties who backed the protests got a lift in the Polls, lets see how it goes going forward but I think the farmers and rural Ireland won’t forget in a hurry…Big Jim did them a favor with his heavy hand tactics as public opinion would have turned sharply against the protesters had the blockades continued but Big Jim panicked and even though the protests are long gone the pressure is incessant on the Government…Lame duck Government who spend every day in Dail in desperate defense mode and get nothing done…
Hindsight is great but Mary and Holly should have chained themselves to a tractor in Whitegate in a two piece bikini and let the polls decide who gets page 3 on the farmers journal…Opportunity missed by the girls…Holly being from Wesht Cork could have been the poster girl of the farmers…Holly in her Bikini would have been plastered in every milking Parlour the length and breadth of the country…
