I posted that a question that needs answering is why he was driving to a blockade with a slurry tank.

I posted questions earlier that no one else answered that’s what happens when people want to avoid being caught out with facts.

But to answer your question (again cause I already did) tractors all week have been pulling slurry tanks as trailers as other trailers are too big to swing and also visually obstructs views, slurry tanks aren’t

Also given his job regardless of courts trying to make an example etc there’s enough media attention the judge won’t put him off the road which would risk his lively

I don’t know anything about the case particularly but one thing is certain Judge Roberts is exceptionally consistent and will put him off the road if the traffic offenses warrant that.
This judge has just recently put Michael Cahill TD from Kerry off the road for 2 years for speeding near Fermoy, Kyle Hayes and Ben Cunningham off the road, where dare I suggest it many judges might not have, and only this year also oversaw the deportation of a repeat traffic offender back to Poland! .
Only about 6 weeks ago, as the National media reported, he even made a special address about what he called the epidemic of road traffic offenses and emphasized “the strict consequences” for these road traffic offenses.

Mattie is in his North Cork district so I’m sure she’d enlighten us more.

Over the decades, I’ve been involved with about 15 judges for a variety of non criminal and civil matters and Judge Roberts is the strictest I’ve seen operating I think, maybe with the exception of retired Judge O Donabhain in the circuit court. If I ever did something wrong on the road, I would not want to be in front of Judge Roberts trying to explain myself or pleading for leniency.

Dreadful. Targeting women and now travellers is all II have been at this week.

I don’t agree with a lot of what she says but fair play to her to have the courage to stand up and say what she thinks. She’s a much more honourable person than the cowards deriding her.

I took from your original comment that perhaps you don’t, which is extremely serious potentially incriminating admission. Perhaps I picked that up wrong.

My comments today about child protection concerns did not speak to the adequacy of the service, which is an entirely different thing.

Believe me, I could write a book on Tusla, but no one would believe it actually happened in Ireland in the last 10 years. As I mentioned here before I am familiar with a very high profile case that went on for 6 years. A family persecuted and worse than that Guard in Cavan. I do hope the children and parent involved will break the service financially when they are adults with legal cases.

Yes I have made reports. Do I make a report in every case that I would feel warrants it? No!.

Why, because I know it would be futile, as Tusla would not take it seriously and it could end up causing more damage for some of the people involved. Particularly in the case of Family Law.

I don't want to hijack a dedicated thread to play out on Tusla. If a suitable thread exists I am happy to engage there.

you spent most of last week labelling protesting farmers and lorrymen far right. no one is swallowing that nonsense anymore. big jim was widely ridiculed for trying to blame fuel protests on tommy robinson. trying to dismiss anyone who challenges government as far right isnt going to work as a deflection tactic. people arent stupid . i look forward to sundays opinion polls.
