Hi Jim. Apologies if you felt that. My comment was on Tusla. I wasn't referencing your post.
I am aware of my obligations, I put children at the front and centre of all my dealings in cases involving them.
Perhaps it would be more appropriate to say I wouldn't be confident involving Tusla in anything, given my experiences.
It's a long answer regarding what protocols I would follow, depending on my concerns, what the sources of them are, what type of welfare is in question etc.
What I will say is that children are being badly let down by every arm of the systems which are supposed to protect them.
For example I would regularly do reports which warrant further investigation however they are lost in the ether, particularly around parental alienation and coerced alignment. These children are serious welfare concerns but it is accepted in the system it happens and is part of it, and their psychological difficulties compound. They are not being openly abused and they don't realise themselves anything is wrong until they encounter serious mental difficulties and trauma later in life. They become adults with issues which affect behaviour.
I could write paragraphs on this and other issues but this is not the place or even the thread to do so.
Again apologies if you read my original comment as directed at you.
