So are the modern Squires any good or not?

For a guy just playing in his mam's attic, I mean..

Entry level are adequate but I think spend a few euros more to get the classic vibe series
They use woods and electronics the same as American/Mexican fenders, plus the pickups are designed by fender America

Harley Benton are owned by Thomann AFAIK, I'd imagine any electric at rock bottom prices would have to be useless, that brand and Squire do have guitars around the €400 and upwards which is what I'd be looking at.

I must be an outlier. I like punk and post punk but Im very unmoved by this announcement. Maybe if I was 10 years older Id be more impressed. Never really was mad into the rats and Nob has only become more annoying with the years.
Maybe if I was a teenager at the time Id be more impressed.
