Judge Martin Nolan thanked the jury for its hard work and diligence. He remanded Mullin on continuing bail for the time being.

The matter will return to court today to set a sentence date.

In a contested trial you can't prepare for sentencing until or unless you are convicted.

Pre sentencing reports have to be done and they can't generally be done in advance. Probation report, for example, can't be prepared until after a conviction.
