Not anti Chelsea but Cole and Drogba have been below par for a while now and someone who has never watched him play before has selected Luiz.

No Lloris, ??

Casillas

Pique
Vidic
Kompany

Iniesta
Schweinsteiger
Yaya Toure
Xavi

Ronaldo
Messi
Rooney

Special mentions to Silva & RVP

My jokeshop selections: Buffon, Cole, Ferdinand, Luiz, Lucio, Terry, Kaka, Lampard, Pirlo, Etoo, Drogba, Benzema, Marcelo.

I can only guess that the above we're selected because the FIFA Secretary forgot to delete their names of the last year's list. I'll be honest and say I guessed that Pirlo wasn't great because AC Milan got rid of him and I heard/saw nothing great about him last year. Evra was close to making the list but he was good for United last season and it's only this season has he started to wilt.

My team of the year would be:

Cassilas

Alves Pique Vidic Lahm

Iniesta Alonso Xavi

Messi Van Persie Ronaldo

7 Subs: Neuer, Ramos, Thiago Silva, Schweinstiger, David Silva, Rooney, Villa.

No 3-4-3 cop outs with me. I went for Barca's 4-3-3. Also I picked Van Persie over Rooney because believe it or not, Van Persie has the most goals in this calendar year and you can't beat that from your main striker.
