He completely ignores that she was a junior minister who resigned at her treatment by the Minister for Health at the time, the FGer who ran a big care homes business.

Leo The Liar has already been caught out telling another big lie on this latest controversy or at the very least not telling the whole truth. The whistle blower actually wrote to him in 2019 about the issue but Leo ignored it.

On the Pat Kenny show on Newstalk he claimed he "was never party to devising or agreeing a legal strategy in relation to nursing home charges" but subsequently admits

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said he ‘must have been aware’ of a Government plan to curb payments to families who were overcharged for nursing home care.
And he doubled down on his defence amid an outcry yesterday, as he said medical card holders were not entitled to free nursing home care.

But you can bet the Fine Gael cult will circle their wagons and tell us that there's nothing to see here. "Honest" John might even try to have this uncomfortable (well for him anyway) thread shut down again.


Only those rich who could afford to defend themselves in court against the FFG government received satisfaction - usually just before going to trial or on a discovery order. The poor ordinary guy on the street who could ill afford to pay for care homes for loved ones, never mind expensive legal representation, got gipped again.

Another FFG scandal that Varadkar will lie his way through and the establishment will close ranks on.

I think FG people give people the benefit of the doubt and also hold people on high regard.

Quite obviously the same cannot be said for other political parties / organisations
