This day 1966 Star Trek came out, first broadcast in Canada on Sept 6th. The show would go on to become a very successful franchise that has lasted for decades with books, merchandise, online fandom & multiple spinoffs. It would become an icon show with millions of viewers from around the world watching a show that explores the future, exploration in space & sci-fi stories about meeting new life on other worlds and how Earth became a unified planet & leading member of an interstellar community.
