The Eurovision obviously doesn't mean anything, it's Israels involvement in football that bothers me. No way should they have teams playing in the Europa League and Conference League.

FIFA are a bit fucked with the World Cup coming up in the US. They won't want to cause any hassle by banning their Israeli buddies.

The upcoming NFL game in Dublin could be a banana skin. What better stage to protest against Israel on. The only thing is I'd say the majority of those tickets went to yanks and people who couldn't give a fuck about Palestine. But the 3 day tailgate party in Merrion Square will no doubt be hijacked

For someone who supports a negotiated peace in Ukraine it is galling that Russia can't play or be seen with the rest of the world in competitions while Israel is proceeding to commit a genocide in Palestine yet they get to be involved. It is pretty outrageous.

Not alone is Russia banned (correctly imho) by FIFA/UEFA, but Belarus had to play behind closed doors in a neutral country - meanwhile the Israeli scumbags get to play at home in a European qualifying section.

On Monday, Spain's Culture Minister Ernest Urtasun publicly opened the door to the country's exit if Israel is not expelled. Speaking on La Hora de La 1, Urtasun said that while the final decision lies with public broadcaster RTVE, radical steps may be necessary if Israel participates.

Slovenia are also thinking of withdrawing if Israel are included.

I'd say it's inevitable that Israel will be kicked out but it's a sorry reflection on the organisers that it took a boycott to force their hand
