Had a few insane bills and it was an even bigger pain in the hole when there was a problem with it, was almost a fortnight without heating over the winter. Goodnight and good luck. Bills back to relative normality since.

Apparently it's a disaster to find someone to repair them alright and expensive. A friend had a nightmare with theirs but once it was fixed seems to be suiting them fine now.

The guy who repaired it did tell him, he expects these systems to get much better in years to come but like a lot new products, early adaptors get stung.

The 'technician' was a sound lad but was waiting nearly two weeks to get them to come out. Theyre too busy as these shitheaps are in all the new builds. And he said himself the parts are insane expensive. I had enough of them anyway, never again. Back to a condensing oil boiler. Simple fix if it ever gives trouble.

I always ask employees and retired employees if they should pay tax on this freebie BIK as they would have to if it happened in the private sector
They poo pooed the idea and a few of them became abusive to me.

Had a heat pump system with a few years and got rid of it. Extortionate, oil fired heating a lot less expensive. Had gas in the previous place. Heat pumps are a total cod.

Have had mine for 3 years so far without a problem, service once a year for €150 and the electricity costs have definitely been lower than in other houses I have lived in. AFAIK nobody in our estate has had an issue either so maybe the tech has improved.

Watch now it will break down in the next few days............

Arrogant bunch alright. They're on insane money and never took a paycut during the crash when the rest of the public sector got clung for circa 20%.

Bloommont, very reliable and sound fellas. Now that I look again it was €190 this year for the service.
