People banging on about Wrexham's 'fairytale'.

What about Dave Bassett and Graham Taylor taking Wimbledon and Watford through the leagues?
There have been many such stories, in recent years Brentford and Bournemouth (when Eddie Howe first took over they were 10 points adrift at the bottom on League 2 and had never been in the top division). Luton went from non League to PL. Alf Ramsey won the top league with Ipswich in their first ever season. Clough with Forest(lucky to get promoted in 77, by 79 had won EC)-but they had been in the top division a lot and had won 2 FA Cups.
The Wrexham story is interesting. Fans of other lower league clubs are jealous and not afraid to show it online. The documentary has been a good watch-the mainstays come across as very likable(Shaun, Humphrey, Phil, Ryan and Rob). You can also see they are not afraid to take tough decisions and the programme hasnt shied away from stuff like hooliganism, mental health and players leaving. They covered the James McClean story well(most clubs wouldnt have wanted him). They have now built a good squad and will be one of the favourites to be promoted next season.
Btw Millwall getting promoted would also be a fairytale, maybe for different reasons.

It's not a fairytale yet m8.
It will be if they catch Hull and win the playoffs.

The way Boro are dropping like a stone they could be the team caught. Just 4 points between themselves and Hull so eight between themselves and Wrexham who have a game in hand.
Boro gone from brimming in confidence to complete self doubt. Made the lion share of the chances today but once again caught on the break. Kim has gone from hero to zero in two short months.

2-0 to Birmingham, that should wrap up the regular season at the top end of the table, takes all the pressure off Hull & Boro, No fairytale but Wrexham will be happy enough with their season-highest ever finish after after three promotions. Birmingham fans very unhappy with their manager but they have consolidated also. Relegation is now the focus for me, Leicester need at least 4 points from last 4 matches, any of 4 or 5 teams could go down if they have a bad run

Wrexham not giving up yet.
Up 2 at half time vs Stoke.
Too soon to be saying its all decided imo.

Hull continue in freefall, Boro have three points and an extra game in hand(they play Ipswich tomorrow-a draw would be good for both teams!) but Hull must now be looking over their shoulders to Wrexham and Derby (still three games left). At the other end Leicester now need to win their last three games and hope that Blackburn dont get more than one point. Oxford looking doomed as well after hanging in well-44 points is decent but they are now 6 pts off safety.
