Dublin... Is a fucking shithole

The M8 is the same distance both ways. There are plenty of options out of Cork, just don't get why anyone would go up to an overcrowded, inaccessible, rip off of an airport. We have 3 senior ministers who should be telling the daa to lower landing charges in Cork and encouraging the redistribution of flights in and out of this country. 90% of flight's into one airport, you'd only see it in Ireland

It's ridiculous. Has improved in last couple of years but still huge room for redistribution of flights.
Rumour is DAA are desperate to have Dublin be in top 10 biggest airports in Europe (currently 13th or 14th) and are trying to funnel as many passengers as possible through there.

Ridiculous is right.

It is coming to a point up there now that arriving planes are waiting at times, up to 90 minutes for available stands in order that they can park up and let their passengers disembark

Gardaí cleared a busy beach on Sunday evening following a mass brawl which broke out between groups of teenagers.
Public order gardaí were called to Burrow Beach in Sutton, Dublin, at approximately 5pm following multiple reports of fighting. Bottles and punches were thrown, according to video footage that was released online.
Gardaí decided to clear the entire beach, resulting in excess of 1,000 people leaving in a short time.

In a statement, An Garda Síochana said: “Uniformed Gardaí from the Raheny District and the Public Order Unit attended the scene. A large number of people who were gathered on the beach have been dispersed from the area. No arrests have been made at this time. Enquiries are ongoing.


“Gardaí from the Raheny District are maintaining a presence in the area of Burrow Beach this evening, as part of ongoing high-visibility patrols under Operation Irene.
“Gardaí in Raheny are appealing to any person who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them in Raheny Garda Station on 01-6664300, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666111.”

Operation Irene was launched last year to combat underage consumption of alcohol in public places throughout the Dublin Metropolitan Region.

probably a kerry guard who moved to dumplin and the his family headed back to the old country with the new skills.
