I'd say there's going to be a bucket load of stories like this coming out in the next few years, I'd say its rife in all pro sports tbh.
there's a hell of a lot more money in soccer/rugby than there is in cycling I'd imagine.
Rugby probably not. Its played by relatively few countries and only the very top players would be earning big bucks.
thats not to say there isn't doping in it btw, I'm sure there is.
Maybe you're right wrt rugby....but in cycling, only the very top guys are making anywhere near serious money, the average guys, domestiques etc aren't making anywhere near enough to effectively retire after they finish racing.
As for doping in rugby, it's a no brainer.......even here, look at the underage/schools players.....I'd LOVE to know if there's any testing on them and even at club level.......serious amount of it going on I'd imagine.
Here is a rough guide to how much cyclists make.

Thanks for that......as I expected....a very average premiership player will make more in a month than many of the higher end riders do in a year.
It's actually very little money when you look at the demands of the sport.....but end of the day it's a minority sport really and if the money just isn't there from sponsorship/tv deals etc, then it just isn't there!
