Absolutely correct. Where are the likes of Carrigaline, Glanmire and Ballincollig in terms of pulling together competitive teams..? Surely with the volume of students alone they could have a right go at it. Look at the likes of Cashel, Tulla and a few others the last few years. Embarrassing how poor Cork city is.Focusing on CBC and Mon , when Schools Hurling is a Graveyard across the rest of the City.
Ballincollig have 3 secondary schools. Perhaps they need to look getting together, like they did in Waterford a few years ago. Colaiste Colm and Coachford are playing Harty BAbsolutely correct. Ballincollig have 3 secondary schools. Perhaps they need to look getting together, like they did in Waterford a few years ago. Colaiste Colm and Coachford are playing Harty B
Glanmire have two secondary schools, I think GCC won an O Callaghan Cup nearly 20 years ago.
Blarney and Pres are playing Harty C
Carrigaline are playing Harty D, same as Chriost Ri and Carrigtwohill
Looking at the results Bandon (HHS) have beaten Colaiste Colm and Coachford in B grade, Charleville also in the same group but they haven't played yet. You'd think the big Gael Colaiste like C Colm and new one in Carrigaline would be keen to promote national games as part of their ethos. Coachford and Blarney have big intake from hurling strongholds in the vicinity.
Seems to be no major desire or willingness on behalf of County Board to engage with schools to promote the games.
More excuses, rinse and repeat. "COACHING".CBC should be home and hosed. Some amount of wides.
