Just wondering if anyone lives directly on the douglas road? What's traffic/parking like? Thx

Sorry, we are looking at a few places to rent and most are between briar rose and Paddy the farmers. One or two are on the main road but wondering is parking a pain, esp by St Finbars hospital

It's a pain but there are loads of side steeets.
There is nowhere to park between Paddy the farmers and the Southern star.
And good stretches with no parking in the middle.

I see there is on street parking outside on place near St Finbars hospital. But what is th chance of your car getting a clatter?

Its a nice area, parking and traffic might be a head wreck but you're laughing otherwise. And depending on where youre working, you'll have a handy commute, fierce close to town, the link and druglas.

Youll get a residents permit, tenner a year. Otherwise just park there and if you do get a ticket, send em a utility bill and tell em the permit is pending.
