There are a fair number of comments pointing out that road isn’t suitable for cycling which it isn’t no matter what way you look at it with the volume of trucks. It will be when it’s replaced by the new motorway. If he does live in Carrigaline and wanted a safer option to the city, surely through Raffeen would be a safer option?

Just checked Google maps and
37 minutes via Raffeen/Passage versus 24 the other way.
Who knows? Might have been flooded by the looks of it? Passed on a double white line at the same time.Why didn't he cycle closer to the hashed yellow lines or even within them? Cameras on his bike facing front and rear while not cycling with due consideration to other road-users. Not a clever look
