Cyclists

Sports appropriate?
I cycle regularly and don’t wear Lycra, and I sure as sh*t don’t try inconvenience other road users by cycling in a manner it makes it difficult or even dangerous to pass.
Most cyclists on our roads today don’t wear Lycra from what I’ve seen. In fact I’d say more wear helmets.
Yes Lycra is sports appropriate, simply because you dont choose to wear Lycra doesent make it less so, excluding children the majority of cyclists wear Lycra, the point of the original post was to decry the wearing of same, cyclists should never make it difficult or dangerous for other road users whilst drivers should never endanger cyclists, and hopefully, whilst not legally required, it certainly is prudent to wear a helmet.

Nope - the wearing of full Lycra regalia by cyclists sporting obvious middle-aged-spreads - there’s an excuse to stop chafing with shorts - tends to indicate a state of mind with some cyclists, certainly when coupled with a “We have a right to make others wait behind us on the road” entitlement attitude imho.

Biggest conclusion jumped to on this thread is that I don’t cycle or even own a bike. Didn’t see you comment in that 🤷‍♂️
