Cyclists

Nope - but then unlike you I'd always stop if someone stood out on the road and raised their hand motioning me to stop. Do you try to "get them with the door" as you drive on? :ROFLMAO:
Of course I stop for farmers. But if it’s some fella parked at the side of the road asking me to stop I won’t because I’d be of no use to him.

🤔
I've been wondering if there is any other developed country that allows men to stop traffic on a public road just to throw their balls around the place!
Yes, there's a similar sport in Germany and the netherlands.

It's thought to be over 300 years old. It's something that should be protected, it's one of those bits of cultural heritage that once lost would be unlikely to be brought back.

I would generally consider that protecting that sort of heritage is more important than inconveniencing drivers for a few minutes.

Are they allowed to hold up traffic on public roads in Germany or Netherlands? I'd doubt it tbphwy.

Reminds me of the time the Glanmire bypass road was opened to great fanfare, and within a couple of days of it, they closed it for a Sars long-puc competition on a Stephen's Day I think :ROFLMAO:

We occasionally did things a bit differently over here to what the regimented Germans would have deemed appropriate
