Cyclists

Well someone should most definitely have been out the front of the score to warn on-coming traffic - less of an issue for following on traffic - but from pedestrian point of view it's also needed.

Can I appologise to you on behalf of responsible bowlers for the damage to your car. Whoever the scut was that threw it without appropriate warnings ahead should have his @rse kicked and made pay for the damage.
There was no damage done TBF and the incident didn't bother me. But I can I understand why people consider bowlers a bit of a nuisance.

I know someone who lives up the road from the Fox and Hounds and I was in her car with her driving up to Rathcooney. She literally ploughed right through the bowlers, not slowing down or anything. To be honest I thought she was right out of order. But she said she was sick of them. She actually hit a bloke on his elbow. I had my hands over my face , I couldn't look. Hopefully that's extreme , most drivers wouldn't do that. I'm glad I don't live on bowling road though.

Im afraid your friend is a dope and should not be driving at all if that is her attitude in the car.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with road bowling but the chances are that bowling has been happening on those roads longer than she is living there, regardless its a tradition that is well documented and she could have avoided by just taking an alternative route or cooling the jets.

Chances are if they have cattle or sheep with them then they are a farmer.

Bit surplus to requirements and after the fact if the animals are already on the road no? I'd be stopping anyway whether there was a farmer out on the road with his hand up (oooooooer)

She's not really a friend, I just know her. But ya I agree. It was bad form of her.

Where I live there is an alternative road to use so it's handy for those who live on that road. Although I Was talking to a guy I know and he was giving out about people complaining about the bowls. He argued that they could use the other road. I did agree with him. But I also get the annoyance too. Tradition or not, it's inconvenient.

Where tractors are concerned , well it's not fair to complain about fellas doing their jobs.
On my road the farmer used have to stop traffic crossing the cattle. They recently got a tunnel dug out for the animals to go under the road. Great job. And easier on the farmer too as it took 3/4 people to get the cattle across the other way.

Have you come across many people coming out of a field to stop traffic for no reason at all?
