Once the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine has been thawed and made up it has to be used. If not used it becomes useless. In Israel, people wait outside vaccination centres in the hope that they can receive some of these leftovers.

My mother's gp office rang her to ask if she would be taking it when available so I assume they were doing that for the purposes of compiling a list.

Dont know if that was based on a national strategy though or if they were just being proactive.
