The divisional U21 football championships were played earlier in the year and the divisional winners are playing each other now in the county championship. The divisional winners in hurling will play off in the county championship as soon as all the divisional finals are played.

U21 is vital in keeping players involved into adulthood. The change of minor back to 18 is a positive move IMO.

And u21 has produced some of the best matches I have ever seen
