Cork u20 Hurling 2023

Delighted that Eoin Downey is available but this just sums up the U20 farce.

The final gets moved to accommodate Offaly players because they are 'only' a Joe McDonagh team. Could Clare or Limerick or Galway not feel genuinely aggrieved that it's one rule for one team in the competition and a different rule for other teams in the competition. Not having a cut here at Offaly rather just pointing out what a mess the GAA have made with the U20 grade.

No county has suffered more from this stupid rule then Cork with Ciaran Joyce and Shane Barrett missing out on All Ireland medals over it and Eoin Downey missing out on a Munster medal over it. Absolutely ridiculous.
Alan Connolly missed the All Ireland in 21. With Joyce we'd have beaten Tipp last year.

We didn’t look that seriously good when Clare up the physical stakes for the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half and started to run at / thru us. Ben Cunningham showing outstanding leadership and bravery got us outa jail.

Nah, they are a seriously good team. Why that isn't obvious to anyone who sees them is beyond me.
Nothing wrong with acknowledging that, alongside acknowledging that
Offaly have talent and a great attitude, and will fight to the death.

You want to beat them up for Clare upping their game for 20 minutes and having a go at them, fair enough.

You want to see a well fought win as getting out of jail, fair enough too.
