Cork U20 hurlers 2026

Alls well that ends well with regards Barry Walsh.
Savage dirty win, exactly what Cork hurling needs.
To be fair to that group anytime ive seen them play they give it their absolute all, can never question their attitude and workrate.
Wouldn't always see eye to eye with Noel and would'nt be overly enamoured with his style of play but to give him credit his teams are organised and work very hard.

I find some of the criticism on this thread a bit OTT, this isn't the best Cork U20 team I've seen but they are improving and already have a Cork senior in Barry Walsh. I see savage potential in Oisin Walsh, Denis Fitz, Mattie Barrett, MT Brosnan, Colm Garde, James O Brien, Johnny Murphy and Finn O Brien.
Barry O Flynn is an impressive hurler as well although is slightly off form currently I think. I could easily see 2 or 3 of these guys making the step up to senior in the future.
Don't get why some lads are calling them poor, Cork played 5 of last years minors as well tonight. That's a very young team to go away from home and dig out a result like that.

That was a great win on a poor pitch in awful conditions. Really thought we were gone when down in second half but showed great grit. Win at home v Clare and at worst, we have home semi final and possibly straight into Munster final.

Great post, “ Savage dirty win exactly what Cork hurling needs”.
Hope we say that again a few times this summer.

Some lads are never happy unless we're absolutely blitzing all around us ala the 2021 minor team. When the game was in the fire at the end, it was two of those five coming up with big plays, Craig O'Sullivan with a huge score after dispossessing his marker and Jack Counihan winning a smart free.

It reminded me of the 1999 All Ireland Final where every stumble and fumble meant a whole lot . A day for 14 corner backs and a Goalkeeper . And we won the rolling mauls late in the second half for a change . We were only short of Kevin Murray making an appearance and flashing it over the bar from the sideline.

its the tight games where you see the character of players, these young fellas have it in abundance

And dont anyone say anymore that these fellas cant hurl or arent a great bunch. Without their star player they showed their mettle

Kevins a bit old but his young fella James is on the panel so it might happen yet 😆
