Cork U20 hurlers 2026

On what was said by so called experts after the game against limerick we must be certs to beat Clare

Yeah - was a bit flummoxed by the narrative that it was between Cork and Tipp!! Even allowing for fact that lot can change between minor u17 and u20, Clare did win Munster and AI title with this group of players . There must be some bit of quality there!!

Which experts were those? I haven't heard anyone pressing that view. Clare looked average enough last night but ground out their second win in a tight game - they were missing a few, e.g., Keane, Kennedy (granted I'm not sure all will be back) and have considerable scope for improvement.

Apparently u20s had a trial match v the Rockies Seniors in Church Rd yesterday. Know no more than that.

I was at it and it was a good workout.Barry Walsh and Barry O'Flynn didn't take part.It was played as 3 x 20 minute periods.Everyone on the panel got 20 minutes at least.I think the Rockies won by a few points but at that stage the 20s had made 10/11 changes. The u20s ,as you would expect, were well on top with close to full strength team.I can't see many changes from the Linerick game for next week. They are looking at options at full back(Denis Fitzgerald an injury doubt)and centre back(possibly Colm Garde),but realistically
the only change I can see is John Murphy for James O'Brien.
