Cork U20 hurlers 2026

X2 That lad has destroyed the minor threads before as well with hatred for every manager or management and even players making the team. He must be close to ban soon. I've not liked every manager appointment but majority of these guys are giving up a lot of there free time to try and make things work and pick what they deem as the best team available. The are never going to get everything right. Armchair trolls/hurler on the ditch like corkonian having daily pops of them is a turn off for many poster on here.
This is a lie! Substantiate what you state above regarding my hatred of every manager. I've already been complimented on my support and knowledge of underage players by this years minor manager Donal Mulcahy, Show me examples of your referred 'hatred' towards Donals management, last years management under Fergal McCormack or in 2023 under Fraggie. I was critical of the John Meyler management and the county board for appointing him. Also two members of last years management team complimented me in person on attending matches when they were involved with Cork U-16's before they went on to take charge of the minors. The only poster I would compliment on here for having a genuine interest and knowledge combined on Cork underage over a good number of years is Minirebel but he doesn't post as often and also doesn't show any issue with me calling a spade a spade.

As an aside, management 101- always compliment the loopers

Reminds me of lads that used to be around before, the type seems to have disappeared under the round robin style championship.
But anyways these fellas would be able to pontificate about the merits of every player in the country and refer to them over an innocuous hook or block or bad wide or dropped catch from 8 years ago or his uncle was soft too or something that happened in U21 championship 4 years previous etc

You more than once stated I was the 'underage expert' on here until I hit a nerve in your neck by calling a spade a spade and then you went back referring to your little rule book to tick me off.

As another poster told you recently 'come off the stage', however he's wasting his time because your life is all about hogging the stage on here and you think we should all answer to you but as far as I'm concerned you can go to hell!

Killy

Your explanation is based on others might be right on winter training of the 18 year olds etc. and I should acknowledge their opinions.

Again 'without acknowledging they might be mistaken' which is only hypothetical jargon. If I'm proven mistaken I will acknowledge and also give credit due to the management but anyone watching underage hurling in Cork over the years know that players such as Conor McCarthy and Mark O'Brien are easily good enough for this years U-20 team and they're officially not even on the panel. There were others last year and if you judge over the 2 years the Furlong management have lost out on up to 10 players in total, I know of 2 players who pulled out or wouldn't make themselves available.

'Slim enough chance', Cork lost narrowly to Clare to qualify for the Munster final and Clare lost narrowly to Tipp in the final but of course you believe the players Furlong left out wouldn't have made the slight bit of difference.

It was you who addressed me with criticism and lacking in humility because I showed up the truth regarding selections and I'm talking over a few weeks this time not a year and a half. Why don't you read my initial post which the likes of overtheline and hurlywurly among others took so much offence with and tell me why I haven't a right to criticise 'if it's 'fine to criticise management'. The post wasn't offensive to any posters on here but I've been constantly ridiculed, name-called and sweared at, sure life goes on and I know their type. Read what Pooman stated on Furlong over both years and Twiceasnice last year.
But Mark O Brien is on the panel!!! He was an unused sub last Wednesday night

To be fair, I believe he (and others) was cut from the panel a few months back so didn’t make the initial 36 or whatever for Championship but was brought back into an extended panel a few weeks ago. He now appears to be in the panel having been in the bench v Limerick
