At this stage it's worth asking what you're actually getting out of this. Days going after volunteer coaches on an anonymous forum, putting words in people's mouths, escalating the rhetoric every reply. These are people giving their time to coach young lads and trying their best. You think they got calls wrong — fair enough, plenty of fans do. But the personal stuff, the "jokeshop," the "brainfarts," the laughing emojis — it's a lot of energy to be putting into a grudge against people you actually do not know.overtheline
Pointing!!!Why don't you quote my posts where I referred to 'every player' that was selected should not be there? You won't because you can't quote something that doesn't exist, it is you who needs to read back. Volume my arse and what version, your version is the 'every player' bull as well as your so-called proficiency of the Cork U-20 hurling management over the last 2 years.
You refer to the championship year ending as disappointing but simultaneously you credit the management for getting to a Munster semi 2 years in a row. The disappointing thing was the brainfarts by management and their humiliation of both James O'Brien and Craig O'Sullivan way above the result on the night and the elimination of players now you're saying are 'good' players, that is terrible management. Your attempt to cover over the brainfarts in a Munster semi by eventually stating 'every management makes calls that don't come off' is farcical but those who were blowing trumpets for the management on here all winter and last year were never going to acknowledge those decisions as the height of stupidity. As I stated the writing was on the wall and the chickens finally came home to roost that night in the Pairc.
Most people are probably somewhere in the middle. My own view was they did well in certain areas, eg team spirit, motivation but poorly in others, eg team selection, in game management so overall for me they were average. Is this not why its called a Discussion Forum. Ya'll don't have to agree, but each one is entitled to their opinion. I see nothing wrong at all in C1's posts, nor in those disagreeing with him. If only that could happen without the vitriol, it'd be grand.
Not much knowledge saying Cian Denis o Connor was “off the radar” of management, when the poor lad has done his cruciate 2 times in 2 years.C1 has a great knowledge of the players , like his opinion or not.
The reason I said he was 'off the radar' was because I honestly didn't know where he was gone or that he was injured. I never said he was wrongly dropped like Conor Mac as Cian played a challenge around the start of the year. As Pooman stated it became public knowledge regarding the axing of Conor to the surprise of many he met but there was nothing public about Cian's injury or otherwise it went over my head. I hope he recovers well and gets his chance with Cork U-20's next year. Someone told me last year I know his mother through my work which I do and I didn't know they were mother and son.Not much knowledge saying Cian Denis o Connor was “off the radar” of management, when the poor lad has done his cruciate 2 times in 2 years.
